First Snow Day

It was the first official "snow day" for the 2009/2010 Winter. I will tell you that everyone in our household fully participated in the event. Brian and I were out by 9 AM shoveling while the kids spent an hour sledding, being buried under snow by Brian and throwing snowballs at their parents. Brian got Connor back good with a shovel of snow in his face and I do believe that halted the snowball fight.
This year Connor has decided to be a sledding champion and was trying all kinds of moves on this little red sled. He jumped rocks, he went down backwards, he went on his belly but his very favorite was with a running start. Kaya mostly just enjoyed being towed by Colin, Connor and Sara our neighbor. Sara's brother Jimmy came over too and it was an official "snow date". Unfortunately, Colin had the least amount of fun because he doesn't like the snow melting down his neck and face. When you are out in a nice snow fall it is hard to control that as well as hard to take pictures since the lens kept getting wet and blurry.
Still hot chocolate, popcorn and a Christmas movie made this an amazing way to spend the day and the perfect way to kick off the Christmas feeling. Hope you enjoyed yours too!

Looks like you guys got our storm!
Nothing like the first good snow of the year. It's much more fun than they 7th snow of the year. By the way, you guys might want to check out the zipfy (look on amazon). I'm hoping Santa brings us a few for Christmas, to make all the snow storms fun.

So jealous of your snow. We had some flurries saturday but nothing stuck. Would you like to adopt some kids for the winter just so they can have a true snow experience?
